National Geographic exhibit on pirates

Postby bruce n h on Sun Aug 17, 2008 7:02 pm

Hey all,

I'm in Philadelphia for a couple of days for work and I drove past the Franklin Institute and they are advertising an exhibit called Real Pirates: Set sail aboard the Whydah. It's a traveling exhibit from National Geographic, and on their site they say it will be traveling to other cities in the US (though they say come back later for the schedule). I doubt I'll be able to get to the museum while I'm here, but if I do I'll report back on it. Oh, here's another site from National Geo.

The Whydah! Captained by Sam Bellamy, if I recall. I won't be remotely close Philly until Christmas, to visit family; but I will most certainly be checking back to see if they stop by my area. I doubt it, but one can dream... Maybe they will still be there in December...
