A friend of mine called SAH and I talked to someone that knew what was going on with this. He was informed that there are replacement gold bars but they are all out right now, and have a new order coming in about 2 to 3 weeks. You can be placed on a list, so when the parts come in they will be shipped to you. TLG is also reportedly working on getting the gold bars into the sets, but that might take awhile.

I have not yet received my replacements, but when on the phone, the person told me that I would only be getting coins, so I suspect that it will be the same as the rest of you

My replacement parts arrived yesterday. No gold bars, but there were 13 sets of gold coins in the bag. I only bought 1 set and told them that when I called so I'm not sure why so many were sent. Not that I'm complaining, but it was a little surprising to see that many gold coins.

Edit: Took a picture of the coins - Link

Well I got my replacement coins in today, and was a bit disapointed to see one lonely set of coins. I am not really torn up, considering the amount of coins I have now, but still, the set has ten coins, which is at least 2 sets of coins.

I just wanted to add that the LEGO Community Team is now investigating this issue with Customer Service. We will post an update once it is available.

Here is the latest update from Jim Foulds of the LEGO Community Team:

We have confirmed that customer service has received a stock of the proper items to correct the non-chrome gold for the POTC issue. When calling customer service, explain that you do not want the gold coins, element 70501 instead you need prepack 4631481. This prepack has both the coins and the gold bar in it.

I spoke with a very helpful LEGO customer service rep this morning. She confirmed that the prepacks are in stock. Shipping to North American customers who call will take approximately 10 business days.

So, you know how I've been talking about how much I like pearl gold?

Fate, it seems, is not without a sense of irony. I picked up Isla de Muerta at BW and got chrome coins and bars. Oh well

Wow, good info! I should have checked here before sending my complaint to LEGO. They said they're mailing me something from Denmark, hopefully it will be the correct coins and not the old ones. Shiny new coins and bars was a big part of why I bought the set. (Yes, I'm really that simple, LEGO Company)

Dress did not line up as others have mentioned. Neither did Narcissa Malfoy in the Harry Potter tree set. Perhaps a recent lapse in quality since both dresses in the Kingdoms Advent Calendar lined up perfectly.

I should maybe try and call Lego again too see if I can get the proper coins...

Also, my dress did line up. However, one side was a bit thicker on one piece, so it still wasn't perfect.
