Weekly Set Review: Raft Raiders

This week’s set is 6261 Raft Raiders.
Raft Raiders was released in 1992 for the pirates.
This raft includes a cloth sail, rigging, and oar rudder.
Three shipwrecked pirates, including Captain Redbeard prior to his future leg loss, sail this treasure laden raft while avoiding a hungry shark in the water.

This week’s set is 6267 Lagoon Lockup.
Lagoon Lockup was released in 1991 for the Imperials.
This small base included a dock, jail, room with awning, cannon, and palm tree.
Two soldiers and a sailor guard their prisoner from Captain Redbeard in his small sailing vessel.
Various accessories such as a large flag, goblets, barrel, parrot, and weapons were included.

Jolly Roger Creatures

As week two comes to an end in our Jolly Roger Contest, the entries continue to roll in.

The JRC is building up to be a mighty fine contest.

This week’s set is 6260 Shipwreck Island.
Shipreck Island was released in 1989 for the Pirates.
Two pirates guard their outpost island and treasure with a cannon.
A monkey, parrot, flag, floating half barrel, weapons, and various accessories are included.

Jolly Roger Contest Entries Set Sail!

Only one week has passed since the first Jolly Roger Contest began.
We already have a great selection of mocs by skilled builders.
Check out and discuss entries such as Dan Sibley's Corolin Privateer,
Elephant Knight's Blood Empress,
74louloute's Tribute to Yukiyú,
and many more!
We can already tell that grading this year will be tough.
In a similar policy as Classic-Castle, the judges will reserve our detailed comments about entries until the contest has completed.

This week’s set is 6251 Pirate Mini Figures.
Pirate Mini Figures was released in 1989.
This was the first minifigure pack for the Pirate theme.
Captain Redbeard, a female pirate, and stripe shirt pirate guard their treasure chest from an Imperial soldier and sailor.
Various accessories such as a parrot, gold coins, guns, and sabres are included.
