The Captain's Escape
Aaron A. 17 IX 08

Forbidden Cove member "Olog," AKA Adrian Floria makes his debut into the Pirate theme with a cannon blast. His creation, entitled "The Captain's Escape," features many wonderful features and techniques, everything that we have come to expect from Adrian.

Adrian tells us, "As I joined the Forbidden Cove community I had to build something in this theme. This MOC started off with one of the round walls, just seeing how it would look like, mixed with the fact that I had some parts only available in white and yellow, I ended up using the old LEGO pirates color scheme, with some added details."

The creation took around 4 days to build over a 3 week period, "I had no [Pirate] minifigs, no palm trees, no [Pirate] accesories, no flags. So I started by buying the Caribbean Clipper ship, that helped to populate the island, and add the specific imperial feel to it." He estimates that the creation has around 1,000 elements.

Adrian is a 22 year-old LEGO Ambassador who has been a fan of LEGO since he was three or four. He has been seriously involved in the hobby for over 2 years. His favourite childhood set was 6897, Space police's "Rebel Hunter". Adrain is best known for building Sci-Fi creations but often ventures into many other themes.
